Broad player detection
Telepathy supports YouTube and Netflix adapters plus many standard HTML5 video players. Site changes, DRM and embedded players can affect compatibility.

After a brief network interruption, the panel retries and restores the room context that is still available.

Open the panel
Pin Telepathy and click the icon on any video page. The side-panel slides in next to whatever you’re watching.
Share the room link
Create an unlisted room and share the link. Friends open it and confirm the join in Telepathy; no account is required for guest access.
Press play, together
Room controls relay play, pause and seek to connected viewers. Network and player restrictions can affect timing.

A sync engine built for real networks.
Naïve watch-party tools fight themselves: one person’s “pause” bounces back as everyone else’s “pause”, and the room drifts. Telepathy was rebuilt around that exact problem.
- Coordinated playback. Playback changes are applied carefully to reduce duplicate actions and drift.
- Broad compatibility. Dedicated support for major sites complements standards-based player detection.
- Graceful reconnects. Brief interruptions retry automatically; a longer service outage may require participants to rejoin.
- No video proxy. Video and audio travel directly from the provider to each viewer; Telepathy relays room controls and chat.

Is Telepathy free?
The extension is currently free to use. You can also join a room as a guest without creating an account.
Does each viewer need access to the same video?
Yes. Each person needs their own authorized access to the same title on the video site, which can include their own subscription, rental or entitlement. Telepathy only syncs playback controls; it does not provide or share access.
Does Telepathy receive my video stream?
No. Each viewer streams directly from the video site. Telepathy relays room controls, chat and limited operational metadata described in the privacy policy.
